“This was probably one of the most happy, fun days I’ve had since my husband died”

Monthly meet-ups
We host a regular Sunday evening gathering for widows in Cambridge. This is the heart of Cambridge Widows, and provides the space to talk and to listen to each other. This is where so much of the magic happens. We have conversations you can’t have with anyone else. We hold safe and welcoming space for each other to show up as we are.
These gatherings are women only and take place usually on the last Sunday of the month at 6.30pm.
There are also monthly afternoon meet-ups in Cambridge for widows, hosted by some of our members, usually on the first Monday of each month at 2pm. This tends to be a slightly older crowd.
In addition, Cambridge Widowers hold drinks for widowed men in the pub - get in touch with them to find out when they are next meeting!
Dates for each month are in our calendar here.
Contact us for more information on any of these meet-ups or to let us know you’re coming.

The Widowed Sing
We are proud to host The Widowed Sing, a unique singing day for anyone whose life partner has died. This pop-up choir in a day brings widows and widowers together to sing and raise money for our local hospice charity.
As attendees at previous choir days have said:
“An exciting and uplifting day.”
“It was such a safe space to share experiences together - a wonderful group of people”
The Widowed Sing 2026 is on Saturday 10th October at St Paul’s Church, Cambridge, in aid of Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.

Get togethers
Throughout the year, we hold monthly walks and cinema outings, as well as other events, like our recent painting afternoon.
These are open to widowed men and women. Look out for our next ones in the calendar here.
